Care For Your DLT
Our Tips...
Choosing naturally-dyed fabrics means you are choosing to support an eco-friendly approach to fashion. It also means you should take special care of your pieces to help ensure their lifespan.
Natural dye’s are delicate- be soft with them.
SILK.
- Hand wash all silk with a "free and clear" soap or detergent in cool water when needed. Always hang dry.
- Silk wrinkles very easily. We suggest using steam to get any creases out. If you don’t have a steamer, don’ t fret- you can iron silk, but please use the lowest setting and be very careful.
- Keep out of consistent direct sunlight.
COTTON/ GAUZE
- All cotton garments can be machine washed in cool- cold water and then hang dried. Fluffing in the dryer for 5-10 minutes to soften is recomended.
- Try to avoid getting lemon or vinegar on your naturally dyed pieces. These ingredients can react with the natural dye and cause discoloration.
